Recipe from Home Cooking with Trisha Yearwood: Chicken Pizza serves 12 to 14 Ingredients 2 13.8-ounce cans premade pizza crust dough 4 tablespoons olive oil 2 teaspoons minced garlic 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (about 8 ounces) 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (about 8 ounces) 1 bell pepper, cored, seeded, and cut into strips 1 red onion, sliced vertically 3 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, grilled and diced 6 slices bacon, cooked until crisp and crumbled Preheat the oven to 350°F. Roll the pizza dough out and fit onto two 15-inch pizza pans. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of garlic on each pizza crust, followed by 1/2 cup each of the mozzarella cheese and 1/2 cup of the Cheddar cheese. Scatter half of the bell pepper, sliced onion, chicken, and bacon on top of the cheeses. Sprinkle another 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese and 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese over each pizza and drizzle each pizza with 1 tablespoon more of olive oil. Bake the pizzas for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the crusts are lightly browned. Slice each pizza into 8 pieces.

I love this food!!!! This is just good, honest, family favorite, made with love, tummy filling, budget friendly, southern comfort food! Simple and perfect. It includes recipes for Breakfast (waffles, pancakes, scrambled egg bowls, a country quiche that's to die for, Hawiian Fruit Salad and apple dumplings, muffins and cinnamon rolls and -shut up- BEIGNETS...omg), Snacks and Appetizers (that will be the hit of any party or football Sunday), Soups and Salads (I'll try to not spoil the surprise, but wait until you see and taste the Chicken Poppy Seed Salad - heaven), Beef and Pork, Chicken and Fish (I love Chicken Piccata and Trish's is the best in the world), Sides, Breads, Cakes and Pies, and Cookies, Candy, etc. FUN SUGGESTION: Buy several copies of this cookbook, give one to each of your six best girl (and/or guy) friends living near you, invite them to be part of your "cooking club," for a once-a-month get-together -- each person making a part (appetizer, main dish, side, side, beverage, dessert) of the meal using only Trish's recipes. After supper pull out Yatzee, Mexican Train, Canasta or Dutch Blitz, or your favorite board game, uncork your favorite bottle of wine, kick your shoes off and enjoy some cherished, soul soothing, tummy busting, maybe a few tears, tons of laughs, girls nights!!!!

Love this cookbook, it's my favorite of Trisha Yearwoods collection. I've given it as gifts and have made several recipes to which hail fabulous feedback. Give it a shot, you'll enjoy some classic southern dishes, great personal stories and pictures!

I've always wanted one of Trisha's cookbooks and this one is a beauty. She not only has great recipes, but she adds some history behind the recipe and makes you feel like you're sharing a wonderful part of her life. She's included some photos too and the book just brought back wonderful memories of all the great southern foods I know and love and also new foods I'm excited to make. I love the book and count it as one of the great additions to my collection of cookbooks. I'd recommend it highly to those who want to try Southern foods. The book, the price and the service were all great!

I was excited to order this book, because I have her first cookbook downloaded on my Nook. Both are easy reads, and well written. I love the stories that go with the recipes, and the memories that continue from those family times around the table. Although my Nook is easy to take with me, I still love to hold a real book in my hands. This book will be well loved and used. I can hardly wait to try a lot of the recipes I have seen Trisha cook on her cooking show. I really love cookbooks that are simple to understand and have lots of pictures so I know what the finished product should look like. I also like that all the recipes have been tested by her and her family, so I know they are field tested and will turn out. Ingredients can be expensive in complicated recipes and it is a gamble to try and make something untried. Thanks for sharing, the good times with your many fans. The book got here in a timely manner and was well packaged to protect it in route. "Simple pleasures, are life's greatest treasures!"

Love all of Trisha's cookbooks - good food, easy ingredients, great family stories! Every recipe I have made has been delicious - I think her Key Lime Cake is my favorite!

I too, stumbled upon this book after watching "GMA" and "The View" on a very rare day off. After the airing of GMA, I went to their site and downloaded one of the recipes they posted. After seeing Trisha again on The View, I thought, "Let me go ahead and try this." I am a Southern cook at heart and I while I suppress it most days en lieu of a healthier lifestyle, I was so happy to find a cookbook that was pure and honest and didn't have a "Heart Healthy Alternative" section for every recipe.This book has great ideas and they are feasible for all skill levels and income levels.The reason I didn't give it a perfect score is because I would prefer a spiral binding so it could lay flat on a countertop or copy machine (as every dish I've tried brings on requests for the recipe). Wipeable pages would be great to clean up any drips or drops. And while most of the recipes are pretty basic, there are a few that are quite complicated (The Seven Layer Cake calls for 4 pans, a Kitchen-Aide mixer and several bowls. Yikes! That's a once-a-year recipe if I ever saw one!).The Saltine Crackers thing was a HUGE hit and so was the baked spaghetti and asparagus bundles. Reading Garth's Breakfast Bowl made my chest hurt, but I think I'd like to try that one too!If you want to be the Talk of the Town at your next potluck or family reunion, get this book. You'll be glad you did.

I like Trisha Yearwood's writing style. She evokes feelings of family and the power of food in our lives and how it brings us together to celebrate, mourn, whatever the occasions. It is very reader friendly and the recipes easy to follow incorporating what most people have on hand in their kitchens. I highly recommend this book, good recipes that feed the soul as well as the body.

Purchased this for my sister for her Birth Day since she likes to cook using recipes frequently & she has raved about the book. & we have enjoyed eating them!

A very good book if you like to make bars (we love to). Lots of new, good ideas and great combinations. Two bars that we baked to donate to a sale were snapped up with pleas for "more next year!" from the organizers :) The only thing that keeps this book from getting 5 stars from me is the layout, ingredients and directions can be more than a page from one another; which can cause confusion (and maybe disaster) if the baker is not paying close attention. Overall, a great addition.

Some familiar recipes but some I had not seen before. I think I prefer these bar cookies to regular dropped cookies. these are so much easier.

This cookbook is worth every penny! I bought it as a gift for my teenage daughter who enjoys baking. Both she and I have tried several recipes from this book, and our family and friends have enjoyed all of them. We especially like the brownies, butterscotch blondies, and Oreo brownies. I will never use a store bought brownie mix again! I highly recommend this cookbook!

Pros: Photo of every recipe. Ingredients listed in big font. Wonderful array of recipes.Cons: The directions and ingredients are never on facing pages--for all but 16 recipes (yes, I counted), you have to page back and forth, so good luck using a cookbook holder. Also, the publishers have centered all the ingredient lists, which somehow makes it just a little harder to read.

One of the best cookbooks I own! I never write reviews but couldn't help myself this time. Everything I have made in this book has been a hit! The snickerdoodle bars and the fluffernutter blondies are my personal favorites.I also gave this five stars because there is a picture for every recipe. I can't stand cookbooks that don't have pictures. And- the tip about lining your pan with foil? Genius!Buy this book- you won't regret it.

This book is beautifully illustrated and the recipes are unique and wonderful! I love to make but even if I didn't, this is pretty enough to put on a coffee table or in an office lobby!

Great book, has all characters and some bonus pages for extra characters (we went to universal and used those). One page is for autograph and one page for photo. Some have just a photo page so we had them sign to the side. This made getting photos much more exciting! The kids would scream “where’s my book?!”Highly recommend this one, great value and thorough.Tio: We kept ours in a big ziplock to keep it from getting water damage.

I like the way this book is organized, but pages are flimsy and I’m worried about them holding up during the trip.

This was amazing! So many characters complimented the book and asked where it came from. I have already recommended it to others!

I'm so disappointed in this book. I bought the Kindle edition for my iPad and was so looking forward to reading it. Based on the description, I thought it would provide insight into the way people live and decorate their homes in various global cities. There is little to no discussion of decorating in other countries, except for a 1 or 2 paragraph description of a city's culture and history in the beginning of each chapter, which I did enjoy. Instead, it is a poorly written and scatterbrained compilation of gimmicks, bizarre suggestions and stereotypes for achieving a certain "vibe." For example, for a "Parisian feel," the author recommends stringing paper flowers over your bed (?), leaving flowers to die in their vases (??), and/or hanging lingerie on the wall or in a window so that passersby think that you intended to wear it but instead had to leave in a hurry to do something else with your busy life before having time to put it on. Umm...I'd venture to say that most people aren't looking to imitate a contrived foreign lifestyle, myself included. I highly doubt anyone in Paris actually lives that way, either. I just wanted to learn more about decor styles around the world. Would not recommend and I regret wasting the money on this book.

Really enjoyed the aesthetic of these spaces, but after a while they begin to look too similar. The book describes different cities and their interior influences, but sometimes it fails in my opinion, to truly capture the essence of that city, and instead looks similar to a space in another city in a previous section. Love that the author gives tips and ideas though, helping to bring some of that cities style into your own space.

This book is fascinating and beautiful if you have an open mind. I just got back from spending a week at a B&B in Venice Beach and I can tell you that the Los Angeles chapter is spot-on and completely accurate as the 100-year-old bungalow I stayed in was decorated exactly like the book chapter on LA. I have also seen plenty of places in New York that look like photos in the book. The other chapters I can't judge since I haven't been to Europe recently. If you want to see what homes in these cities often actually look like, get this book. If you want a book on classy decorating, then this isn't the one for you. I LOVE this book and treasure it, especially after my Los Angeles trip.

Lots of great ideas, divided up by several city styles, so you can pick your favorite. Generally do-able and not too high end. Also has ideas for flea market shopping in each of the cities featured, in case you're able to go there.

Son (architect) loved this surprise book given for Christmas. Lots to look at for design in foreign cities. Paperback so a bit high for $20 BUT nice coffee table book

Another book I often visit when I need some good ideas. Truly inspirational.
